The Gulf-Europe Strategy Forum

March 26- 27, 2009 

The annual “Gulf-Europe Strategy Forum” will commence in May 2009 by bringing together the key leaders and personalities from government, business, academia and media to outline the main issues and challenges facing more constructive relations between the key regions of Europe and the Gulf. Far from being a static exercise, the main purpose of this event will be to propose a set of policy recommendations that can ensure that the opportunities that present themselves in closer Europe-Gulf ties are highlighted and adequately responded to. Of equal importance is to identify trends and future prospects that require setting the wheels in motion at the present time so as to maximize benefit and advantages. The event itself will be divided into three main sections with two sessions each, lasting in total for a day and a half. The sections will be devoted to the issues of politics & security, economics & energy, and social and human development.
