This webinar marks the launch of the new Gulf Research Center (GRC) publication “Natural Gas from the Gulf to the World – Realities & Prospects,” which provides a comprehensive and forward-looking analysis of the Gulf’s expanding role in the global gas market. Drawing on expert insights, the volume examines production capacities, export strategies, infrastructure developments, and the geopolitical and environmental dimensions shaping the industry’s future.
Over the next few decades, natural gas is expected to remain a major player in the global energy mix. It represents a historic opportunity for the Gulf’s gas producers, not only to meet growing global demand but also to reinforce their contribution to sustainable development through cleaner, safer, and more reliable energy solutions.

On September 4th, 2025, the Gulf Research Center Foundation Brussels (GRCFB) hosted a roundtable with H.E. Dr. Abdel Aziz Aluwaisheq , Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Negotiations of the GCC, to discuss the dynamics and prospects of EU-GCC partnerships given the constantly evolving and changing landscapes of global governance. The discussion focused on the seven core pillars of the EU-GCC strategic partnership, celebrating its achievement and addressing its lacunae. From political and security cooperation to connectivity, trade, and investment, the partnership remains an opportunity to depart from traditional frameworks and encourage complementary capacity building of both blocs to better address the shared regional and global challenges of the current world order.
