The Gulf Research Center (GRC) in partnership with the Gulf International Forum and Georgetown University’s Center for Contemporary Arab Studies launched the inaugural ‘Gulf Studies Symposium (GSS)’ on March 4-5, 2024, at Georgetown University in Washington, DC. The GSS will be an annual conference committed to promoting the study of the Gulf region through the promotion of high-quality scholarship and analysis. It will consist of seven workshop themes focused on defense and security; economy and innovation; politics, governance and reform; energy policy; U.S.-Gulf policy; society; and geopolitics. The main objective is to receive high standard papers with diverse topics on the Gulf region.
