The Gulf Research Center and Bloomsbury have launched: The Contemporary Gulf Studies Series: Gulf and Global Perspectives
Focus: The series spans the wider strategic Gulf region including the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries as well as Iran, Iraq, and Yemen. This area is central to global energy supplies, stability, and peace and the GCC states are increasingly active in international affairs. Covering a vast range of issues that concern the Gulf region, and indeed the world, books in this series foster greater understanding of the GCC countries and the challenges the Gulf region faces, as well as strengthens links between Gulf scholars from different regions.
Volumes: The series will include volumes based on GRC’s annual Gulf Research Meeting (GRM) as well as on research by GRC staff and other Gulf and global experts.
Series Directors: Dr. Christian Koch - Executive Manager of the Gulf Research Center Foundation Brussels office and the Director of Research for the Gulf Research Center (GRC) and Dr. John Sfakianakis - Chief Economist and Director of Economic Research at the Gulf Research Center (GRC), Senior Scholar at Pembroke College at the University of Cambridge and Associate Fellow with the Middle East and North Africa Programme at Chatham House.
